Mr. Day brings extensive experience in real estate investing, private equity, executive leadership, and accounting / finance to his role as Chief Financial Officer of Reef. Mr. Day’s career in private equity and investing began in 2003 with a 5- year stint at Sorenson Capital Partners, a highly successful middle market buyout fund. Mr. Day left Sorenson in 2008 to start his own real estate investment company, focusing on buying and then selling distressed real estate after the real estate investment crash. In 2013, Mr. Day joined ComAv where he served as Board Member, CFO and General Manager of ComAv Technical Services, a leading PE-backed aircraft storage and transitional maintenance facility. Prior to joining Sorenson Capital, Mr. Day spent 3 years as a strategy consultant for Monitor Consulting, advising Fortune 500 clients and other organizations on a wide variety of strategic challenges. Mr. Day graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University in 2000 with a BS in Accounting, and was co-valedictorian of the Marriott School of Management.
